Some zhushing

7.09.2012

I've been doing some light zhushing around the house lately. No huge/major projects, just a few little touches that end up making a big difference. Firstly, The guest bedroom was needing some color/pattern, so an ikat lumbar pillow did the trick. I'm thinking of adding black trim to these lampshades like I did to these... thoughts? Got the pillow from this Etsy seller. She was super great to work with- and fast!

Secondly, I added a starburst mirror to the backsplash area behind the sink. I did this to bring some light to the space (as I've said before- the Chouse can be DARK).... and also bc I'm really not digging the backsplash itself.

And lastly, I am ALMOST done with the cane back Louis chairs!!!! (Let's not talk about how long I've been working on them mmmmk?) I will share my "what I learned" later. But for now I will rejoice... bc this project has been a doozie and the end is in sight! Just have to add the last bit of trim on the back portion of the seats.

Hope you all had a great weekend! I'm already looking forward to THURSDAY- when the Hubs and I head to Boston for a vacay and some much needed family time.
