When eshakti reached out to me to do another product review, I was thrilled! I have worked with them twice in the past, here and here. And I am happy to say that both of the items I reviewed are still on heavy rotation in my closet! Just wore that fabulous jacket the other day :)

This go round, I decided to customize this dress by changing the sleeve length as well as the skirt length.

And I am super happy with how it turned out.

 

The fabric is a great, heavy weight- perfect to stand alone or it definitely works for layering as well.

You know I love me some red, so I am thrilled to have a new little red dress to work into my wardrobe.

a Chairish home bar

When Chairish reached out to me about creating my dream home bar, I was thrilled! It is no secret that I love absolutely vintage furniture, which Chiarish has an incredible, curated selection of. And, if I am being honest, a bar is something that I happen to think is high priority for every home!

Rodan + Fields: my experience

When I was contacted by a friend to try Rodan+Fields and write about it here on the blog, I was very excited. I had heard about alot about R+F, and was eager to see if it was the real deal when it came to skin care.

Things that made me take note:
1. Do you know anyone who is using R+F? I do, and their skin looks GREAT. There is nothing that will make me want to use a product like being able to see visible results from people I know and trust.

2. R+F was created by the same ladies who created Proactiv. I personally know many people whose skin was completely transformed by Proactiv, so that led me to believe R+F might be able do the same.

3. Learning more about the company totally lent credibility to thinking their products might be the real deal. I am generally wary of products that are sold by direct marketing, but my experience with R+F was not at all similar to experiences I have had in the past.

The process:
I started by taking the Solution Tool to help guide me to the regimen that would best address the issues I have with my skin. I landed on the "Reverse" regimen, which focuses on sun damage, age spots, etc. I've been using the products for about 5 weeks and here is my breakdown:

The Cons:
The steps - the Reverse regimen has 3-4 steps. It takes me about 10 minutes to get through the entire regimen. That is definitely more time than I have given skin care in the past.

The price - these products are more expensive than any skin care I have ever used before. Please take that con with a grain of salt- as all of my 'skincare' up until now has been purchased from drugstores.

The Pros:
It works! That is pretty much the only pro I need.... and it definitely trumps the 'cons' listed above!

After my sample runs out, I will be placing an order. I am so happy with what these products have done for my skin so far. My skin tone has definitely improved, my forehead wrinkles are SO much better and my age spots have lightened. I am just really excited to see how much better it can get from here!

deal alert- Tarjay bucket chairs

While perusing Tarjay yesterday, I came upon these beauties:

It seems Target has updated their fabric offerings on the tub chairs and I'm loooooving the new choices. As they say, Target does it again- great chairs, great price! Oh how I wish I had a place for a pair of the Togo.........

Hobby Lobby favorites

Hobby Lobby is a great resource for me. Not only do I often go there for my own decorating and DIY projects, but I also recommend many of their items to clients.

Just like any store, I don't love everything that they offer (different strokes for different folks, ya know?) BUT - I do absolutely love many of their offerings. Including the following:

1 - Their blue and white collection is to die for. I have many pieces in my own home. Mixed in with vintage finds- you wouldn't guess that they are super inexpensive!

2 - The star burst mirrors are like a secret weapon for me. They look great in pretty much every space I've used them in.

3 - The framing department is bomb. I love many of their ready made and matted frames. But their custom department is always great to work with, too. And again, the most cost effective option.

Honorable mention: ribbon department, party supplies and canvases.

I also love that Hobby Lobby is an Oklahoma company. And I have never had a bad experience with employees at their stores. No matter where I am shopping - Tulsa, St. Louis, Dallas--- they have always been super helpful and friendly. Makes my Okie heart proud!

affordable brass side tables

One of my favorite things about decorating is what they call 'sourcing' - which is pretty much a fancy word that just means looking around for the right item. I kind of think of it as a treasure hunt. Last week when I was searching around for the perfect brass side table, I felt like I hit the jackpot when I found these Safavieh tables.

They call them gold, I call them brass. But they are pretty much all around awesome. And affordable, too!

review: eShakti part II

I've reviewed eShakti before. Needless to say, that jacket has quickly become a favorite in my closet. So when they asked if I wanted to review another product- I was thrilled!

This time, I gave the custom options a go. When I found this red tunic, it had long sleeves. But since I already had something similar in my closet I thought I could use one with shorter sleeves. And since they make customizing items super easy- that's exactly what I got.

I'm a pretty pleased blogger :) Hope your week is off to a great start!

blue and white love

Home Goods. Ohhhhh how I will miss thee when I move to Tulsa. This past weekend, good ole HG provided an awesome blue/white find. These Ralph Lauren porcelain lamps aka B-E-A-uties.

As I said in my Insta pic, lamp perfection right? I have to give my girlfriend Michelle from Second Street East a shout out for tipping me off that I might find some blue and white amazingness at HG.

I can not wait to have these in our new home. We are still going through the inspection process and after that's wrapped up, I plan on sharing pics of it here. Hopefully, it will be quite soon!

I recently got a really fab jacket to review from eShakti. They are an online retailer with clothes that you can have custom-made to fit how you want--- and it's not expensive! Find a piece you like, send them your measurements and they will make it to fit you perfectly!

Catching my eye lately

Haven't been blogging as regularly as I usually do. Sorry? IDK. I usually just blog when I feel like it and I haven't really felt like it lately.... AND blogger has been totally ticking me off. My posts don't update to BlogLovin/Reader anymore... Don't know why. Can't figure it out. Ugh.

Anyway!!! I thought today I would just share some things that have been catching my eye lately.....

2013 is the year of the wedding in the Davis household (count is up to 6 so far). And I've been brainstorming about my Bestie's Bachelorette party. Thinking these invitations need to be included. I went to a SUPER fun Bach party last weekend. Loooove me some girl time :)

Do I need this jacket? I think maybe yes.

Super excited to read this book. My girlfriend told me its like Downton... which has has been missing from my life for way too long. I'm on the wait list at the Library. Who knew the Library was cool enough to have a wait list??

 When we move and have the right bedroom, I plan to DIY a headboard like this one.

 Want this nail polish. Called- Bobbing for Baubles. Perfect!

Football season is starting THIS WEEKEND. I am headed to good ole Stillwater, OK (aka my favorite town in the universe) and have been thinking about game day outfits for quite some time. Liking this look alot for when cooler weather rolls around. Sweater + jest (that's jean plus vest) = super comfy and cute.

Thinking about making this snack. But also thinking eating 20 of them (which I probably would) would make them a little less 'healthy'.

I just really like this pattern combo.

And last but DEFINITELY not least- this post totally moved me. Thankful for Jen's bravery in sharing her story and thankful for a God who provides true freedom.
